Our porcelain is made at our Portuguese workshop

The porcelain clay is colored and cast in plaster molds to create the finest small pendants. After the first firing, they are individually glazed and fired again

Each pendant is then hand-decorated before undergoing a third and final firing

Our jewellery collection is well-known for always being colourful

The enamel lacquer we use to give the pieces their beautiful and vivid colours is meticulously applied to each piece at our own workshop in Copenhagen

The work is done by hand, resulting in natural variations from piece to piece

We exclusively uses Sterling silver for our jewellery

Sterling silver consists of 925 parts fine silver and 75 parts copper

All our Sterling silver is marked with the hallmark 925 and the SCHERNING name stamp SCH, registered with the Danish Hallmarking Convention of Precious Metals

Our jewellery is 100% nickel free

At our workshops in Copenhagen and Portugal, the jewellery is processed from start to finish by skilled hands. Each piece is unique. The jewellery is gently handled from casting, through decoration, to firing - and all processes are carried out by hand

As a natural part of the process, small variations may occur from piece to piece

The porcelain pendants are cast in our own plaster moulds, and after curing, they are sent on to the firing process

Each pendant is fired three times. Between firings, each part is manually inspected and refined

The pendants are decorated before the third and final firing

Each individual jewellery part is handled numerous times before the porcelain pendants are finally ready to become a unique SCHERNING piece
